Who we are

Chewy Bite is the trading name of Matthew Gundry-White, a small home bakery based in Bromley, registered as a food business with the London Borough of Bromley (food hygiene rating 4). For anything about your data, email info@chewybite.co.uk.

What we collect, and when

• When you join our list: your email address.
• When you place an order: your name, your collection choice or delivery address, and a phone number (so you — or a courier — can be reached about your order). Payment is taken through Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

Why we hold it

• We email you about cookie drops only because you asked us to (consent — confirmed by the "confirm your email" tap when you join). You can withdraw that any time.
• We use your order details to fulfil the order you placed (contract).

How we use it

To let you know when a bake opens for orders, and to bake, package and get your order to you. That's it. We never sell your data, and we don't share it except with the trusted services that make the site work (below).

The services we use to run this

• Resend — sends our emails and stores our mailing list.
• Stripe — processes payments securely.
• Cloudflare — hosts the website.

Each only handles your data to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

Your email stays on the list until you unsubscribe. Order records are kept only as long as needed for the order and basic business and tax records, then removed.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the data we hold about you — just email info@chewybite.co.uk. You can unsubscribe from every email in one click, any time.

Cookies (the browser kind)

The site is simple and doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies.

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top. If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can contact the UK's Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
